SEWER-SERVICE INSTALLATION & REPAIRS
A properly installed sewer line is essential to keeping wastewater flowing away from your property. Amato Excavation installs new sewer services and replaces old or failing lines for homes and businesses. We take care with the excavation, pipe installation, and backfill to provide a dependable connection built to last. If you have an older home with clay or cast-iron sewer lines, replacing them with PVC can prevent costly blockages and leaks
GREASE TRAPS & OIL/WATER SEPARATORS
Fats, oils, and grease—known as FOG—can build up in public sewer lines, causing blockages, backups, and costly maintenance. That’s why Massachusetts cities and towns are now requiring restaurants and other food businesses to install an exterior grease trap. It captures FOG before it enters the public wastewater systems and now provides easier access for regular pumping and maintenance.
Oil-water separators serve a different purpose: they separate oil from wastewater at facilities where oily water may be generated. Amato Excavation installs underground grease traps and oil-water separators, including the excavation, tank placement, inverts, piping, and backfill needed to complete the site work.

E/ONE GRINDER-PUMP INSTALLATION
If your property sits lower than the sewer main, or a gravity sewer line isn’t practical, an E/One grinder pump may provide a way to connect to the sewer system. These systems are often used where wastewater needs to travel uphill or over a longer distance.
An E/One system collects wastewater in a buried tank. When the wastewater reaches a set level, the pump turns on, grinds the waste, and pushes it through a small pressure pipe to the sewer connection. Installation involves placing the tank, running the discharge line, connecting the plumbing and electrical components, and coordinating any required permits and inspections.
